Big Olaf Creamery Has Not Issued A Recall
Companies typically issue voluntary recalls after an outbreak which Big Olaf has yet to do. The FDA can require a dangerous product be recalled, but there are no signs of a recall yet.
The Florida Department of Health directed Big Olaf to “suspend sales and production until further notice. They informed us that they’d be contacting those that serve their product to recommend that they stop serving.”
“It appears that they aren’t necessarily taking our advice,” spokesman Jeremy Redfern said in an email to the Bradenton Herald.
